The negotiable instruments law is one of commercial laws. Thus it also has the same general characteristics as others, such as highly requirement for ensuring the trading security, short-term extinctive prescription, higher legal interest rate and etc. Besides, in order to accommodate to different commercial purposes, and to achieve the goals of stimulating and promoting economics by means of negotiable instruments, there are three types of note, i.e. draft, promissory note and check, provided by the negotiable instruments law. The objective of this course is to establish students the basic understandings to the system of negotiable instruments law.
